Privacy Policy

This policy describes how UpaSip Phone (“we”, “us”), a SIP softphone for iPhone, handles information when you use the app (the “App”).

1. Information we handle

The App connects directly to the SIP server (PBX) you configure. You don’t create an account with us.

• SIP account settings – server, extension, password and caller name. Stored only on your device and sent only to the SIP server you configured, to sign in.
• Push notification token – an Apple VoIP push token and the extension number(s) it belongs to, sent to our push gateway (deb.upanet.org) so incoming calls can wake the App while it’s closed. The gateway keeps a short log of call notifications (extension, caller number, time) for troubleshooting.
• Call history – numbers, names, times and durations of your calls, stored only on your device.
• Microphone and camera – used only during a call you place or accept, to send your voice and video through your SIP server. Nothing is recorded or stored by us.

2. How we use it

• To connect you to your SIP server and place and receive calls.
• To deliver incoming-call notifications through Apple Push Notification service.

3. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade any information. The App contains no advertising, analytics or tracking. Call audio, video and signaling go between your device and the SIP server you configured, which is operated by you or your provider under their own privacy policy. Push notifications are delivered by Apple.

4. Retention and deletion

Settings and call history stay on your device until you delete an account, clear the history or remove the App. Push registrations are removed from our gateway when Apple reports the token as invalid (for example after the App is deleted); you can also ask us to remove them at any time.

5. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
